Habib Noorbhai is a Professor in Health & Sports Science at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and a Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Habib holds degrees in sport psychology, sports science and Biokinetics (equivalent of Exercise Physiology), as well as a Ph.D. in Exercise Science from the University of Cape Town.

Habib is an Associate Editor of the BMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine Journal and continues to serve numerous sports teams, athletes and industry. He has also supervised candidates from the undergraduate to post-doctoral stages, and has developed several innovations in sports science and health education

With over 60 peer-reviewed publications and presentations at 30 national and 15 international conferences, Habib remains committed to using data and technology to drive impactful change in sport and health.
